Valentine's Flick Picks - Martha's Choice

Feb 14 is only three days away. Here's a list of not-so-old movies that couples can enjoy and would make even single people (Like moi!) feel the love.

1. NEVER BEEN KISSED
I wish I got to dance with Michael Vartan on my prom! Lol

Josie, a 25-year-old aspiring journalist, has been assigned to write an article about the modern youth. For her research, she has to go undercover and enroll as a high school student again! Here's the catch: Her real high school days had been hell - Bullied as a geek and called 'Josie Grossy' by everybody! With a makeover and a little help from her cool brother, Rob, she now gets a second chance to enjoy youth, making friends with the popular group and getting her first kiss.

2. JERRY MAGUIRE

You might want some tissue nearby when you see this
This is about Jerry Maguire, a successful sports agent whose career crumbled when he developed a conscience overnight. He then learns a big lesson about valuing people and life. As much as it is an inspirational story, it's a love story as well. This film gave birth to several famous lines such as Jerry's "You complete me." and Dorothy's equally heartwarming reply, "You had me at hello." If you haven't watched this yet, take my word, it's definitely a must-see!

3. SERENDIPITY
Jonathan connects the moles on Sara's arm to draw
the constellation, Cassiopeia. Nice move, man.

If you ask me, every romantic should watch this film! While doing their last-minute Christmas shopping, Jonathan first met Sara as they both grab the same pair of gloves at Bloomingdale's. Each felt a spark right away but since both are in relationships, Sara decided to put the matter into fate's hands. With only their first names known and the rest of their vital info written on a copy of Love in the Time of Cholera and a $1 bill lost in New York, they parted ways. Years later, they seek each other out hoping destiny would make them meet for the second time around.

Happy Heart's Day, y'all! Have a good one! :)
