The Abyss

At the precipice of nothingness

I stand alone and proud

Denying what is missing

Or lost and never found

The vastness of the void

Stretch before, now, and ahead

A guardless prison cell

Looms forever and beyond

Escape will be deep slumber

A sweet and dreamless state

Where no more hollow nothings

Just peace, embracing fate.

I stared at the path
